Billion Dollar Bangaz Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, creative, motivated, proactive and detail-oriented interns to help with day to day activities. Duties include but are not limiting to, social media promotion, helping with promotional mailings, coordinating online marketing promotions, organizing sales, production and other miscellaneous information, and other duties as assigned. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the entertainment industry. This internship will be great insight into the various aspects of working in the world of music. Our interns must be able to receive school credit as the position is unpaid, BUT we have commission-based paid positions available. Some of our star interns also receive the opportunity to get hired after the completion of the internship.
Up-to-date on Social Media trends and blogging is a must. Must have a great work ethic and be resourceful. Ability to handle working under tight deadlines with excellent accuracy. Dedication to the position and pride in your work is necessary. Intern must be dependable, have great people skills and phone manners, an outgoing personality and be able to function well in both a corporate business setting and in social settings/high profile celebrity events, etc. Must have a can-do attitude. Must have strong writing and communication skills, be detail-oriented and well organized. MUST have laptop/desktop computer with wireless access and be tech savvy. Must have access to own transportation. Must have reliable cell phone/ communication. Must have some experience in music or entertainment. Experience in marketing, promotions, graphic design, or PR is a plus. Should have knowledge of music culture & music genres in the 18-25, 26-35 MTV & BET demographics. MINIMUM of 15 to 25 hours per week.
Contribute to the site's social media presence. Write weekly blog for company website. Assist in writing press releases and media alerts. Assistance with updating and maintaining address book contacts. Answering and screening phone calls. Answering and screening emails. Researching new key contacts for all clients. Collating and distributing press kits. Email pitching of all news from clients via phone and email. Scheduling desk side media tours. Brainstorming new pitch ideas for clients. Tracking and scanning all media clips. Beginning to assist in writing press releases and media alerts. Assistance with the creation of media databases and editorial calendars. Assistance with updating the general media database and special interest database. Beginning to build long-term relationships with all media. You will learn about various parts of the music industry including management, touring, publicity, online marketing, publishing, film & TV placement, and record label services. How we tailor our services to each individual artist. Strategies for success in the new music industry. Creating online marketing campaigns and strategies. Managing social media sites. Working with online retail outlets. Developing merchandise sales campaigns.
